The Academy conducts regular lessons throughout the week (Monday to Friday), covering key areas of Islamic knowledge for adult learners of all levels.
Ar-Rahmah Academy provides structured weekly Islamic lessons for adults, grounded in the Qur'an, Sunnah, and classical scholarship. Our classes are open to all adults regardless of their level of prior Islamic knowledge — beginners and advanced learners are equally welcome.
Topics Covered
Each lesson is delivered by qualified teachers and covers essential areas of Islamic knowledge, nurturing both understanding and practice.
Tafseer
Qur'anic exegesis — understanding the meaning, context, and lessons of the verses of the Qur'an as explained by classical and contemporary scholars.
Hadith
Study of the Prophetic narrations — their meanings, application in daily life, and the sciences surrounding the transmission and authentication of Hadith.
Seerah
The life, character, and example of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ — drawing lessons from his blessed biography for application in modern Muslim life.
Islamic Character & Ethics
Developing noble Islamic character, manners, and personal ethics as taught in the Qur'an and Sunnah — essential for spiritual growth and community life.
Fiqh
Islamic jurisprudence — practical rulings covering worship, daily affairs, and contemporary matters, enabling Muslims to practise their faith with confidence.
Visiting 'Ulamā
The Academy also regularly hosts esteemed scholars ('Ulamā) who deliver lectures and address contemporary issues relevant to the community. These sessions provide valuable guidance on matters of faith, family, and modern Muslim life, enriching the regular weekly programme with broader scholarly perspectives.
